Exporting refs from Ovid to Endnote web

You can now export references directly from the Ovid databases such as Medline into Endnote web.

You need to have installed the Endnote web add on for your toolbar.

Below are some instructions on how to do it.

EndNote Web Training online

I’ll be demonstrating Endnote Web on the following dates and times:

Thursday 15th December 11-11.45

Endnote Web – fix part 2!

We are still having problems with people accessing the full list of styles in Endnote web.  If you are having problems with this there are 2 things you need to do. Follow these instructions

First : Login to Web of Knowledge using the link below. (please logout of Cardiff Portal first before you do this).
Second: get the new plug in.

• To restore access to styles, filters and online connections, log into Web of Knowledge and select “My EndNote Web” on the top menu to access your account. This resets your roaming access for one year (see the roaming access help topic for more details).

Check that your roaming access on the new Account Information page on the Options tab has been reset for one year.

• Next ensure that you have installed the latest plug-in for EndNote Web (3.1). You should also make sure that you are uninstalling the older versions of the plug-in and install only the latest version. Please follow the steps listed in this help link to uninstall and reinstall the plugin.

 

The reason for the fault reported earlier is that roaming access to the styles has expired. The good news is that you can refresh your roaming access by logging into Web of Knowledge.

Endnote web problem reported

Hi- I have had a couple of you report to me that there are problems with cite while you write in Endnote web- in that the styles list is only displaying ‘Author – Date’  rather than the full range.

I have found out what the problem is- but am looking into how to remedy it.

Endnote web and firefox

I’ve just had a message from Endnote to say that Endnote web and firefox 4.0 plug in are now working seamlessly.

We’ve been looking into getting Endnote web to take a direct export into Ovid too- more news on that as it comes.

We are using some new software (Big Blue Button) for these sessions and I hope that if you have a microphone attached to your computer you will be able to chat back rather than type chat. The first of its kind for us here at DLS!
