Wi-fi Access

This morning I attended a training session on Wifi access for on campus users and as a consequence found out about a service which distance learners can tap into.

Eduroam is a service which allows staff and students of an academic institution to securely access the internet without cost from any eduroam enabled institution. So, if you are studying at Cardiff but live in Aberdeen and require wifi at Aberdeen University you can tap into Eduroam.

You need to be set up for this first here in Cardiff so if you are interested, drop me an email dls@cf.ac.uk quoting your details and including your student number.

You can find out which instiutions participate in this scheme here and abroad at this website:-
