Local University Library Access

Hi Everyone,

This is only relevant for UK residents – so sorry if you are living across an ocean you won’t be able to tap into this resource.

If you live in the UK, and are on one of Cardiff University courses you are able to register for a SCONUL card to allow you access to a local university library.

We have started using del.icio.us as our social bookmarking tool to start sharing the ebooks which are available on study skills with you distance learners.

E-Books

Ebooks should be really useful to you if you are studying off campus.

We have been quite busy purchasing new titles in this format as more and more are becoming available for you to make use of.

The best way to find out if we have a book available is to check the Voyager library catalogue

• Follow the link above and then click on search the catalogue.
• Use the drop down menu to quick limit your search to Electronic Books.
• By default keyword anywhere will be highlighted, stick with this unless you are looking for a specific title
• Enter a fairly broad term which covers what you are looking for eg physiotherapy
• Click on a title see more details about that particular ebook.
• Click on the link to access the ebook
• You will need to login with your Cardiff Username and Password to view the content of the book
